I like writing about journeys on trains or going somewhere on a train in my poetry. I’m not into trains or train-spotting in real life though but find the idea of these journeys interesting in creative writing as there’s so much going on in them. They aren’t big things but I often find myself looking at other passengers and thinking about where they are going, why and who they are going to see. I also think people do the same to me (unless they spend the entire time looking at a screen) Does anyone else have a similar experience of trains in writing? I assume the idea of journeys is well covered in literature so this is probably a good place to start.
